Quality Assurance

Tiger & Bean operate in a purpose built food manufacturing facility in Valencia, with hygienic design and food safety our top priorities. Compliance with laws on health and safety, environment and other applicable law are given the highest priority. We currently hold two sanitation licenses from the Department of Sanitation and Health (RGSEAA) and one agricultural license from the the Valencia Registry of AgriFood (R.E.A.). Our license numbers are as follows:

  • 25.002864/V - Issued by the RGSEAA for the production of Chocolate, Cocoa and its derivatives

  • 23004362/V - Issued by the RGSEAA for the production of Confectionary and related products

  • 29.003078/V - Issued by the RGSEAA for the production of Horchata de Chufa (Sweetened Tiger Nut Milk)

  • 46/45452 - Issues by the R.E.A. for the production of Chocolate and cocoa based products


We take great pride in the quality of our products, and we do everything that we can to ensure that our products, our supplies chains, our choice of ingredients and our packaging materials align with our values as a company. Where possible we seek to verify our commitments to food safety, social justice and environmental sustainability by participating in independent certification processes. We currently hold a range of certifications:

  • Our ChufaChoc product is certified palm oil free, as certified by the International Palm Oil Free Certification Accreditation Programme (POFCAP)

  • Our cocoa is sustainably sourced, as certified by UTZ / Rainforest Alliance

  • All cardboard packaging used is sourced from sustainable forestry, as certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

  • All packaging film used is Home Compostable, as certified by TÜV AUSTRIA

All of our products are gluten free and we are currently in the process of seeking independent verification of this claim through the Coeliac Association in Spain (La Federación de Asociaciones de Celiacos de España) . We are currently awaiting an audit.
